Anglezarke

All welcome. Evening meets start around 6pm. Please bring suntan cream and wine. Manchester sunset is approximately 21:10, twilight to around 21:56. Please keep an eye on Scribble for wet weather options.
Anglezarke is an awesome gritstone quarry near Horwich in Lancashire. The quarry is a horseshoe whos apect faces everywhere, and it has a large selection of good routes blanketing it's entire periphery. The quality is mostly found in the low-mid range of grades and includes one of the best E2's in on grit; the magnificent Golden Tower. The quarry is approached in minutes from the parking and is blessed with staked belays. It's a great venue for an evening and I hope you will all consider coming. Details can be found here:

The meet will begin at 6pm but it is usual for many to arrive earlier so check WhatsApp for updates. The crag is a quarry and some areas do have a little loose rock. A helmet is highly advised. The quarry does have some vegetation and there is potential for bugs should the evening be humid. Bug spray is therefore a useful additon to the pack. Bringing a headtorch and warm layer is also good practice. Thanks guys, see you at the crag.

Overview
A lovely bright evening at the crag until the sun went down then the cold set in, so we left for the Robin Hood Pub leaving Evone, Jess and Tom still at the crag squeezing another route as they had arrived late due to traffic congestion.

More Evening Meets:
During the spring and summer months evening meets are held outdoors at local crags, usually on Wednesdays, weather permitting. Keep an eye on the scribbles for the latest information. Indoor climbing wall meets start again in the autumn.
Some lucky people may be able to get out climbing nice and early, but this will vary depending on work hours and the traveling distance. Generally you should find KMC climbers at the crag by 6pm and some might still be there after its gone dark.
