Pub Meets
Throughout much of its history, the Club has held regular pub meets in central Manchester on Thursday evenings. These are now held in The Britons Protection near the Bridgewater Hall, on the first Thursday of the month from about 9:30pm onwards. Various members of the KMC Committee should be in the pub following the monthly committee meeting, so this is the best time to come along and meet Club members. The meet is held upstairs (access via stairs just behind the bar).
Please note, in August, by tradition there's no committee meeting, and consequently no organised pub meet, (either on the first or any other Thursday of that month) as various Club members are likely to be on holiday then.

Directions from Rail Stations
From Oxford Road rail station walk down to Oxford Road, turn left and head towards St Peters Square, turn left into Great Bridgewater Street, past the Temple of Convenience, past the Peveril Of The Peak, and so to The Britons Protection on the left at the cross roads
From Deansgate rail station walk along Hewitt street, away from Deansgate, turn left at Medlock Street/Albion Street, cross over Whitworth Street and turn right at Great Bridgewater Street. The pub is on the corner.
From Piccadilly rail station walk along the Station approach and continue to Piccadilly Gardens. Turn left into Portland Street. Follow this out of Piccadilly Gardens and stay on it. Crossing Princess Street and Oxford Street. Now on Chepstow Street follow the bend past The Peveril Of The Peak, road changes to Great Bridgewater Street, to find The Britons Protection on the left at the cross roads.
From Victoria rail station walk out and turn right, walk down Todd Street, turn left onto Victoria Street and follow this. Becomes Deansgate. Eventually turn left into Great Bridgewater Street. Through tunnel and the pub is across the junction.
Directions from the Metrolink
The pub sits next to the Metrolink, between the stops at Deansgate-Castlefield (formerly G-Mex) and St Peters Square, being slightly closer to the Deansgate-Castlefield stop. Easy from Piccadilly station, more adventurous from Victoria station.
