Walking meet

Lucie

King of Tonga Tour

There was a (young?) lady from Leeds
Who understood how a walker feeds
She provided lots of cake
On the walk she did take
That clever young lady from Leeds!

Join me for a hunt for the King of Tonga on a walk that will start at the car park by the dam of Dove Stone Reservoir, a short distance off the A635, Mossley-Holmfirth road.

The route will then take us through the valley by the Dove Stone, Yeoman Hey and Greenfield Reservoirs. A walk up to Birchen Clough, a traverse of the long edge over to Chew Reservoir and then we head back to the car park. We have 4 historical points of interest to view on the way and I can even provide you with facts about them! If that doesn't tempt you, I will bring cake for us to have a mid morning snack - please provide your own lunch though!

The walk is approx. 8 miles (13 km). You will need change to pay for parking. I will be in the car park from 9.30am with the walk starting at 9.45am. Please complete the 'add me' on the web meet description so I know who to look out for and how much cake is needed!
