Windgather Rocks

I set out for Windgather about 4pm, hoping for an erronous forcast. However, on arrival at New Mills about 5 I met a trmendous thunder storm! Shortly after Adam McCudden messaged to say he had been rained off the crag. The evening was a wash out. KMC 3. British weather 1. Next week we're at the amazing Pule hill! See you all there.

Windgather Rocks

Classic. Windgather sits on the hill above Kettleshume near Whalley Bridge, and is a popular choice for evening jaunts. A continuous natural gritstone cliff just a few hundred metres long, it is blessed with continuous high quality routes, all along its length. Many of these have more approachable grades with a few toughies inbetween for those looking. My first day here I was able to tick all the routes of severe and above, and have now climbed most of the routes overall, but I continue to return for the odd evening solo, or just to hang out with friends. Details can be found here:

I hope you will all find the time to come to down (or up as the case may be)! Bring your gear and we'll get a few in before dark. Keep an eye on scribble for updates and if you have any questions, just let me know. See you at the crag.
