Hobson moor
Hobson Moor is a local favourite for the KMC with loads of great climbing whether you like bouldering or trad. Single pitch quarried gritstone with a choice of slabs, cracks, corners and the steep back wall with its ever-popular traverse which stays dry even in (light) rain - but it's always sunny at Hobby! Bring your trad rack and ropes, or bouldering pads, whichever takes your fancy. The only thing you won't find here is sport climbing. Lots of routes have stakes in place at the top which make it easy to set up top ropes if that's your thing. Access is a walk of mere seconds from the roadside.
I will aim to arrive at the crag before 4pm but others may arrive earlier.
If you can bear to tear yourself away from the climbing at the end of the evening pop into the Waggon and Horses for a pint.
More details of the routes, access and parking can be found on UKC.
