Secret Stanage
In attendance were, Robert Clark, Colin Maddison, Andy Stratford, Daniel Arrowsmith and Tiphaine.
A select few turned up and experienced a beautiful crag on a lovely evening. The breeze kept the midge away (until perhaps 9.30), and a fair few climbs were done. The crag here is less polished than more popular parts of the edge, the paths a bit less obvious, it has a more isolated feel, and the outlook on an summer evening is fine. Its a secret, so don't tell too many of your friends.
Climbs; Titanic (vs 4c), Q.E.2 (vs 4c), Gnat's Slab Arete (HS 4c), Gnat's Slab (D), Lusitania (S), Anniversary Arete (E1 5b), Parallel Cracks (vs 4b), Persuader (vs 4c), Broken Buttress (VD).

Meet Promo:
'Secret Stanage' is a less frequented part of Stanage, with a number of buttresses of the same high quality you find elsewhere on Stanage. Sitting between High Neb and Plantation areas it consists of a number of isolated buttresses. I suggest meeting at Titanic Buttress, which is perhaps best approached from High Neb (Dennis Knoll) parking. Climbs I can recommend include; Lusitania (s), Titanic Buttress (vs 4c), Titanic Direct (hvs 5a), Scavenger (vs4c) - on Blockhead Buttress, Left (vd) - on Sinister Buttress, Parallel Cracks (vs4b) - on Anniversary Buttress. At the far right of the area there are 2 very good easier climbs on Broken Buttress - Broken Groove (s) and Broken Buttress (vd). I will be at the parking at 4pm.
